The architecture is characterized by curved wooden structures and underground exhibition spaces that merge seamlessly into the garden landscape above. The exhibitions use state-of-the-art digital technology and soundscapes to bring fairy tale worlds like "The Little Mermaid" or "The Ugly Duckling" to life. Visitors can see not only biographical exhibits but also immerse themselves in an experience that blurs the boundary between reality and fantasy. The museum is located in the historical district of Odense, near Andersen's childhood home.
