Tripylos Peak delivers one of the most dramatic natural backdrops in Cyprus and is a favourite for hiking, photography and nature-focused trips. One of the highest peaks in the Paphos Forest, offering wide-open views of the Cedar Valley. Altitude, climate and geology produce a varied mosaic of habitats, from pine forests and scrubland to rocky summit zones where endemic plants and animals thrive. Marked trails, mountain shelters and viewpoints make the area accessible to less experienced visitors, while more demanding routes reward seasoned hikers and climbers. In summer, the highlands offer a cooler alternative to the coast, and winter can even bring snow to the higher slopes. Villages and tavernas along the approach roads round out the experience with traditional cuisine, crafts and warm Cypriot hospitality.
