Kissonerga is located on the west coast of Cyprus, just a few kilometers from the city of Paphos. The village is set in a fertile plain famous for its extensive banana plantations and citrus groves. Historically, Kissonerga is of immense importance, as significant Chalcolithic settlements were discovered here, providing insights into life over 5,000 years ago. The combination of ancient history and Mediterranean agriculture gives the place a very special charm. The coast of Kissonerga gives several beautiful stretches, including Kotsia Beach. This beach is characterized by its quiet location and clear water, convenient for swimming and sunbathing. Although the coast is partly rocky here, the small coves provide sheltered areas for those seeking relaxation. The sunsets on this part of the island are considered some of the most beautiful in Cyprus, as the sun sinks directly into the sea. In the village itself, visitors find traditional tavernas serving local specialties such as meze and fresh fish. The infrastructure is well-developed, with modern amenities and a growing number of holiday accommodations that still respect the village character.
