Trpanj is one of the oldest and most characterful places on the Pelješac peninsula. The town features a long maritime tradition and served as an important port for centuries. Today, Trpanj is a popular destination for tourists seeking a relaxed atmosphere. One of its main attractions is Blace Bay, famous for its therapeutic mud, which helps with rheumatic complaints. The seaside promenade invites long walks and provides numerous cafes with views of the crystal-clear water. Above the town, the ruins of a medieval fortress (Gradina) sit on a hill, offering spectacular panoramic views across the Pelješac channel to the mainland. Trpanj's beaches, such as Pozora and Luka, are known for their clean water and the shade of pine forests. A prominent landmark is the 'Star of the Sea' (Zvijezda Mora) statue on a rock in the sea, intended to protect sailors. The ferry connection to Ploče makes the town easily accessible for travelers from the mainland. Culinarilly, Trpanj features first-class seafood and, of course, the famous Pelješac wines like Dingač and Postup.
