Mali Dol is located in the hinterland of Kraljevica in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The settlement is part of the fertile Vinodol Valley, historically known for its viticulture and strategic fortifications. The village has preserved its authentic rural character, with traditional stone houses and a quiet atmosphere away from mass tourism. In the surroundings, visitors find numerous marked hiking and cycling trails leading through the karst landscape. From nearby elevations, there are views of the Bakar Bay and the island of Krk. The proximity to the Adriatic coast allows reaching the beaches of Kraljevica or Crikvenica in just 10 to 15 minutes by car. Culturally, the region is closely linked to the Frankopan and Zrinski noble families, whose legacy is visible in the surrounding castles. Mali Dol is an excellent starting point for exploring the Vinodol forts like Drivenik or Grižane. The local cuisine gives specialties from the hinterland, such as homemade cheese and meat dishes.
