Krasica is located in the hinterland of Rijeka on a hilly plateau with a direct view of Bakar Bay and the Kvarner islands. The village is historically tied to viticulture, specifically through the 'Bakarski prezidi'. These impressive dry-stone wall terraces were once laboriously built to cultivate grapes for the Belica sparkling wine and are now protected as cultural heritage. Krasica maintains its rural character despite its proximity to the industrial center of Rijeka. The architecture features old stone houses, often decorated with 'Volte' (arches). For hikers, Krasica has numerous trails connecting the coast with the Gorski Kotar mountains. The local Church of the Holy Cross (Sveti Križ) is a prominent landmark.
