Pelluhue
Pelluhue is a coastal community accessible via the scenic Maule Region coastal route. The settlement has progressively evolved from a traditional fishing village into a heavily visited summer resort destination. The town plaza features rural architecture and serves as a gathering point for local agricultural vendors. The extensive sandy beaches provide optimal wind and wave conditions for windsurfers and board surfers. The high season occurs during January and February when the ocean temperatures are slightly milder. The nearby Mariscadero sector is known for its shallow river mouth. Inland agricultural farms produce vast quantities of strawberries, which are sold alongside fresh fish in the local municipal markets. The regional gastronomy heavily features these local ingredients. Daily buses connect the town with Cauquenes and Talca.
