Lebu
Lebu is a fascinating destination for adventurers and nature lovers. The rugged coastline and constant winds make it an undiscovered paradise for kitesurfers. An absolute highlight is the "Caverna de Benavides," a huge natural cave with impressive rock formations and a mysterious history dating back to the days of pirates and hiding places. The regional gastronomy is heavily influenced by the Pacific Ocean. In the local restaurants and at the fish market in the harbor, visitors can taste freshly caught fish and seafood. The traditional Chilean fish soups, which warm you up after a long exploration tour, are highly recommended and very authentic. The journey is usually via Concepción by bus or car on scenic coastal roads. The best time to explore the caves and coastline is during spring and summer (November to March), when the winter storms subside and the weather is much more pleasant for outdoor activities.
