Mentiri is a rapidly growing suburb located in the eastern part of the Brunei-Muara District. It is particularly known for the Perumahan Negara Mentiri (Mentiri National Housing Scheme), one of the government's largest public housing projects aimed at providing affordable housing for citizens. The area has transformed from a rural locality into a densely populated suburban community. Mentiri is strategically located near key transportation arteries, including the Muara-Tutong Highway and the Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge to Temburong. Besides residential areas, Mentiri is also home to the Mentiri Golf Club, a challenging 18-hole golf course popular with local and international golfers.
