Jerudong, located in the Brunei-Muara District, is renowned for its world-class entertainment and recreational facilities. Once a quiet fishing village, it was transformed into a premier destination in the 1990s through massive government investment. The centrepiece of this development was Jerudong Park, a state-of-the-art amusement park that, upon its opening in 1994, was free to the public. Although it has been downsized, it remains a popular attraction. Jerudong is also home to the luxurious The Empire Brunei hotel, one of the most opulent hotels in the world, and the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club, which often hosts international tournaments. Additionally, the area houses the Jerudong Park Medical Centre, a state-of-the-art private healthcare facility. This blend of entertainment, luxury, and healthcare makes Jerudong a unique and important area in Brunei.
