Bukit Shahbandar Forest Recreation Park is a nature reserve of approximately 70 hectares located in the Brunei-Muara District, near Jerudong. The park is especially popular among locals for its challenging hiking trails that traverse a chain of nine to eleven hills, providing an excellent venue for fitness training. The well-marked paths vary in difficulty, and from the summits, hikers are rewarded with broad views of the South China Sea and the Bruneian coastline. The vegetation consists mainly of secondary forest and acacia trees, which provide an essential habitat for various birds and macaques. In addition to the hiking trails, the park features recreational facilities such as playgrounds, ponds, and picnic spots at the base of the hills. A small observation tower on one of the hills provides 360-degree views of the surrounding area.
