Caxambu
Caxambu is one of the main destinations in the Brazilian Water Circuit, celebrated for its unique hydromineral wealth. Since the 19th century, royalty and notable figures have visited the town to benefit from the healing properties of its twelve distinct mineral springs. The centerpiece is the Parque das Águas, a beautifully landscaped park housing the springs, geysers, and a classic hydrotherapy center. Visitors can ride the cable car to the top of Morro de Caxambu for a panoramic view of the town and the surrounding Mantiqueira Mountains. The local market features excellent regional cheeses, sweets, and handicrafts. The mild mountain climate makes it a pleasant year-round destination, especially during winter. The town is highly accessible by bus or car from nearby major capitals.
