Agroflori Bird Park (Bolivia)

Weather…

Agroflori Bird Park is a private rescue and rehabilitation center located in Quillacollo, near the city of Cochabamba. The project was established to assist birds that have been victims of abuse or illegal trafficking. Set amidst carefully designed gardens and aviaries, the park provides a protected space for hundreds of parrots, macaws, toucans, and birds of prey. Agroflori takes a holistic approach that, in addition to animal care, includes reforestation with native plant species to restore natural habitats. The facility is open to visitors and serves as an important tool for environmental education in the region. Many of the rescued birds can no longer be released into the wild due to wing injuries or excessive habituation to humans, spending the remainder of their lives in the park. Funding is generated solely through entrance fees and private donations. Agroflori is a shining example of civic commitment to the protection of Bolivian birdlife.
