Antwerp Diamond District (Belgium)

Weather…

The Antwerp Diamond District, located right next to the central railway station, is the undisputed epicenter of the global diamond trade. Within an area of barely one square kilometer, rough gems and polished diamonds worth nearly $40 billion are traded annually. The district is home to four highly secured diamond bourses, hundreds of cutting workshops, and thousands of specialized dealers from all over the world. Approximately 84 percent of all rough diamonds and half of all polished diamonds globally pass through the heavily guarded streets of this district during their processing. Despite increasing international competition, Antwerp remains the heart of the diamond industry due to its centuries of expertise and state-of-the-art certification processes.
