Rivierenhof is an extensive provincial park located in the Deurne district of Antwerp and, spanning about 130 hectares, is considered one of the city's largest green spaces. The history of the grounds dates back to the 16th century when it served as a noble country estate; the current Rivierenhof Castle still remains the park's architectural centerpiece. The park is traversed by the Schijn River, which defines the landscape and feeds several ponds. In addition to vast woodland and meadow areas, Rivierenhof houses a significant arboretum featuring a collection of rare tree species, as well as a rose garden.
