The mud volcanoes can be explored freely on foot once you arrive. The landscape is mostly open terrain, allowing visitors to walk right up to the bubbling craters to see the cool mud eruptions up close.

Be prepared to get a little dirty, as the wind can occasionally spray fine mud droplets. Wearing sturdy, closed-toe walking shoes that you do not mind getting dusty or muddy is highly advised.
