English Park Yerevan (Armenia)

Weather…

The English Park is one of the oldest public parks in Yerevan, located in the central Kentron district on Italy Street. Its history dates back to the 1860s when it was conceived as part of the city's urban development, though it was officially completed only in 1910. The park is characterized by its classical European landscaping style, featuring well-maintained walkways, fountains, and numerous monuments. It houses the Sundukyan State Academic Theatre, one of Armenia's most significant cultural institutions. During the First Republic of Armenia (1918-1920), the park served as a central hub for public gatherings and cultural events. In the Soviet era, it was renamed after the 26 Commissars of Baku, but it regained its original name following Armenia's independence. Today, the park remains a tranquil sanctuary in the heart of the busy metropolis and is a favored location for wedding photography and leisure strolls.
