Weather…

The Shrine of Khwaja Abdullah Ansari, also known as Gazar Gah, is a major Sufi shrine on the outskirts of Herat. It is dedicated to the 11th-century famous Persian poet, Sufi master, and theologian Khwaja Abdullah Ansari. Although he was buried there as early as the 11th century, the present magnificent complex was built in the 15th century under the patronage of the Timurid ruler Shah Rukh. The complex is a masterpiece of Timurid architecture and is famous for its exquisite tilework, calligraphy, and fine stone carving. The entrance pavilion, known as Zarnegar Khana, is decorated with gold and intricate paintings. The shrine has been an important center for Sufi spirituality and scholarship for centuries and continues to attract pilgrims and visitors to this day. It is not only a place of worship but also a historical archive of art and architecture from the golden age of Herat.
