Cao Lãnh

Cao Lãnh is the capital of Đồng Tháp Province in the Mekong Delta, situated on the northern bank of the Tiền River. The city is primarily known as the site of the memorial for Nguyễn Sinh Sắc, the father of Ho Chi Minh, which grants it significant national historical status. Geographically, it serves as the gateway to the Đồng Tháp Mười region (Plain of Reeds), a vast wetland ecosystem famous for its impressive lotus fields and diverse birdlife. Historically, Cao Lãnh transformed from a small market town into a vital hub for rice trade and agricultural processing in the delta.
