Hacienda La Trinidad (Venezuela)

Weather…

Hacienda La Trinidad, located in the southeast of Caracas, is an exceptional example of agricultural heritage preservation within an urban space. Originally founded in the 18th century as a coffee and tobacco plantation, the estate represents the economic foundations of colonial Venezuela. The heart of the hacienda consists of seven 'secaderos' (drying houses) used for processing tobacco leaves, which today form a unique architectural backdrop. After decades of private use, the complex was transformed into a cultural park housing art galleries, craft shops, and lush gardens. The thick walls of the main house and the traditional roof structures testify to the craftsmanship of the colonial era. Today, the hacienda serves as a green sanctuary and a significant center for contemporary art and cultural education in the capital.
