Kaputaş Beach
Kaputaş Beach is one of Turkey's most iconic and photographed coastal spots, located on the stunning turquoise coast between the towns of Kaş and Kalkan. Nestled in a dramatic narrow gorge that opens up to the Mediterranean, the beach is famous for its striking contrast between the bright golden-white sand and the mesmerisingly vibrant turquoise waters. This unique water colour is caused by cool mountain spring water flowing underground and mixing with the sea. The surrounding towering cliffs create a secluded and breathtaking natural amphitheatre. Reaching the beach requires descending almost 200 steps from the coastal highway, adding a sense of adventure to the visit. Its unspoiled beauty, protected status, and the sheer dramatic landscape make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers exploring the Turkish Riviera.
