Carry your passport when visiting the Wing 5 Air Force base to access Ao Manao beach; registration at the gate is mandatory.
Rent a bicycle to explore the authentic Khlong Wan fishing village; it is the most relaxed way to get around.
Look for the friendly dusky leaf monkeys (langurs) at the foot of Khao Lom Muak; they are much gentler than common macaques.
Note that climbing the Khao Lom Muak peak is only permitted on specific long holiday weekends.
