Hat Khai Muk, often referred to as Pearl Beach, is strategically located between the busy hubs of White Sand Beach and Klong Prao on Koh Chang. Unlike its sandy neighbors, this beach is predominantly pebbly and rocky, giving it a quiet and exclusive atmosphere. Resorts such as Coconut Beach Resort and Paradise Resort offer guests direct views of the Gulf of Thailand and spectacular sunsets. To the north, the area borders the Chai Chet Resort vicinity, where the coast gradually transitions into finer sand. The rocky nature of the coastline makes Hat Khai Muk an excellent spot for snorkeling right off the shore, as the water is often clearer than at purely sandy beaches. It is the convenient place for travelers looking to escape the mass crowds while still being close to quality restaurants and shopping. The area is less commercialized, offering a relaxed island vibe. Getting around is best done by rented scooter or local shared taxis (songthaews) that run regularly along the island's main road.
