Bioparc Valencia (Spain)

Weather…

Bioparc Valencia, located in the northwest of the Spanish coastal metropolis, is considered one of the most innovative and top-rated animal parks in Europe. It strictly adheres to the pioneering concept of 'zoo-immersion': this means that the visitor is 'immersed' into the animals' habitat, rather than just viewing them in isolated cages. Architectural barriers such as bars or fences have been replaced by natural obstacles like rivers, rocks, or dense vegetation, creating the illusion of being directly in the wild nature. Bioparc is exclusively specialized in the flora and fauna of the African continent. Across an impressive 100,000 square meters, four authentic ecosystems have been masterfully recreated: the vast savanna, the dense equatorial forests of Madagascar, the wetlands around the Kitum Cave, and the African marshlands. Highlights include the baobab forest exhibit, where various species of lemurs jump entirely freely among the amazed visitors, as well as the spectacular elephant enclosure.
