Weather…

Charlotte Historical Village, named after Queen Charlotte, consort of King George III, is a former missionary settlement in the Western Area of Sierra Leone. It was founded in 1814 by the Church Missionary Society to accommodate and Christianize freed slaves. The village was located in the hills above Freetown and provided agricultural land for settlers. It consisted of houses, a church, and a school. The settlement was part of a network of missionary stations established by the British in the region. Today, only ruins and the restored historic church building remain. Charlotte Village is an important cultural heritage site documenting the history of missionary work and the settlement of freed slaves. The site is open to visitors and managed by the National Monuments Commission. It features a peaceful retreat and panoramic views of Freetown.
