Radwani House (Qatar)

Weather…

The Radwani House is a historic residence in the heart of Msheireb, the old center of Doha. Built in the 1920s, it originally belonged to the Radwani family. The house is an excellent example of traditional Qatari urban architecture from the pre-oil era. It is organized around a central, open courtyard, which served as a private social space for the family and provided natural ventilation. The rooms are simple but functional, built from clay, stone, and wood. The Radwani House has been carefully restored as part of the 'Msheireb Museums' project. Archaeological excavations in the courtyard have revealed various layers of the house's history, showing the evolution of domestic life in Doha during the 20th century. Today, it is open to the public as a museum.
