MIA Park (Qatar)

Weather…

MIA Park is a 28-hectare green space that extends onto an artificial peninsula next to the Museum of Islamic Art. It was designed by architect I. M. Pei, the same architect as the museum itself. The park is famous for its spectacular views of Doha's West Bay skyline, making it one of the most photographed places in the city. A highlight is the monumental sculpture '7' by American artist Richard Serra, which stands at the end of a pier and consists of seven steel plates. The park gives expansive lawns, convenient for picnics and family fun. For children, there are three separate play areas designed for different age groups. Another popular feature is the park bazaar, which takes place on weekends and has a variety of food, crafts, and clothing. Cafes and mobile food stalls cater to the visitors' needs. The park is also a popular venue for outdoor events, from film screenings to concerts.
