Sulechów, located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, is a town with a rich medieval heritage. Its past is visible in the remnants of the impressive 14th-century defensive walls and the well-preserved Züllichau Gate. The town's skyline is dominated by the imposing Gothic Church of the Holy Cross. Sulechów also holds a significant place in the region's winemaking history, once being a prominent wine-producing center. Although commercial production has declined, the traditions are celebrated during the annual wine festival. The town hall, a mix of Gothic and later styles, stands in the center of the market square. Sulechów is also the birthplace of German poet and dramatist Heinrich von Kleist, although he was born when the town was Züllichau in Prussia. The surrounding area gives green landscapes and is close to Zielona Góra, the capital of Polish wine. The town is accessible by road and rail, situated near the S3 expressway.
