Its central Market Square is framed by historic townhouses featuring unique Renaissance arcades, which were added by Italian architects during the city's golden age in the 16th century. Krosno's prosperity was largely driven by its strategic role in the international wine trade, serving as the primary gateway for Hungarian wines entering the Polish market.
