Shuwaikh is the main industrial and port area in Kuwait, located in the Capital Governorate. The Port of Shuwaikh is the country's main commercial port and a vital hub for imports and exports. The Shuwaikh Industrial Area is the largest in the country, home to a massive number of factories, workshops, warehouses, and corporate offices. In addition to its industrial importance, Shuwaikh is also a key educational center. It hosts the main campus of Kuwait University, the country's largest higher education institution, as well as the College of Technological Studies. The area also includes the Shuwaikh Free Trade Zone, which attracts international businesses. Despite its industrial character, there are also residential areas, the nearby Al-Shaheed Park, and a coastline along Kuwait Bay.
