Dragon's Bay
Dragon's Bay is a striking marine sanctuary located within the Molinière-Beauséjour Marine Protected Area on Grenada's western coast. It is internationally celebrated for housing the world's first underwater sculpture park, designed by artist Jason deCaires Taylor. These life-sized figures were installed to act as artificial reefs, encouraging coral growth and providing a home for diverse marine life. The bay's calm, clear waters make it an exceptional location for snorkeling and scuba diving, where the interplay of light and art creates a surreal underwater experience. Beyond the sculptures, the natural coral formations are teeming with tropical fish, sea fans, and sponges. The surrounding coastline is characterized by lush hillsides and volcanic rock formations, offering a dramatic backdrop for the turquoise bay. Dragon's Bay is a testament to Grenada's commitment to marine conservation and remains a top destination for eco-conscious travelers and art enthusiasts alike.
