Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, situated along the edge of the scenic Teutoburg Forest, is a spirited town that stands out for its extraordinary leisure attractions and highly unique natural landscapes. The biggest draw for visitors is Safariland Stukenbrock, a massive wildlife and amusement park where guests can observe white tigers, lions, and other exotic animals directly from their cars before enjoying thrilling roller coaster rides. Nature enthusiasts are drawn to the tranquility of the Senne, a remarkable heath and sand landscape renowned for hosting rare flora and fauna not found elsewhere in the region. Another major natural landmark is the source of the Ems river, which springs to life deep within the lush Holter Forest, creating idyllic paths for woodland hikers. The namesake of the town, Holte Hunting Lodge, is a magnificent 17th-century moated castle representing the Weser Renaissance architectural style, offering a picture-great scene surrounded by calm waters. With an extensive and well-maintained network of cycling and walking trails, visitors can easily combine active outdoor recreation with regional exploration.
