Visit the Lotsenturm (Pilot Tower) on a clear day; it has the best panoramic view of the Mönchgut peninsula.
Note the difference between the open Baltic Sea beach to the east and the calmer Bodden coast to the west-the Bodden water is shallower and warmer.
Rent a bicycle. The peninsula is best explored on two wheels, as car parking can be very limited in summer.
