Couzeix is a welcoming and steadily growing commune in the Haute-Vienne department, located just northwest of the city of Limoges. The town skillfully combines the conveniences of modern infrastructure with the preservation of generous green spaces and a relaxed, highly livable atmosphere. Couzeix is widely known across the country for the renowned Hippodrome de Texonnieras. As one of the oldest horse racing tracks in France, it draws enthusiastic crowds from far and wide during its regular racing events, infusing the town with a lively, festive energy. Another architectural highlight is the elegant Château de Coyol, whose beautifully maintained park adds a touch of classic French aristocratic charm to the local scenery. Despite its close proximity to the Limoges-Bellegarde airport, Couzeix manages to retain a deeply nature-oriented character. The surrounding wooded valleys and a network of marked hiking trails offer wonderful opportunities for extended walks and outdoor recreation. Thanks to excellent transport links, visitors can reach the historic center of Limoges in a matter of minutes to explore its world-famous porcelain museums or the towering Gothic cathedral in the heart of the region.
