Situated in the Yvelines department, Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse acts as the primary access point to the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park. The town is widely known as the terminus of the RER B train line, making it the good starting point for Parisians seeking green landscapes on the weekends. A stroll along the Yvette River takes visitors past old water mills and traditional washhouses, which define the region's rural architecture. A major cultural highlight is the Fondation de Coubertin, housed within an impressive chateau estate and featuring a renowned open-air sculpture collection.
