La Celle-Saint-Cloud is an upscale commune in the Yvelines department, part of the western Parisian metropolitan area. The town's history began in the 7th century with the establishment of a monastery by Saint Cloud. It gained significant prominence in the 18th century when the Château de La Celle became a favorite residence of Madame de Pompadour.
