Belvédère-Campomoro is peacefully situated at the southern tip of the Gulf of Valinco in Corsica. This highly authentic small fishing village has proudly retained its traditional charm and is surrounded by a spectacular, largely untouched natural landscape. The crowning highlight of the area's historical architecture is the massive Genoese tower, majestically overlooking the bay and providing fantastic panoramic views. The coastline here is truly enchanting. The main beach, Plage de Campomoro, is characterized by fine golden sand and crystal-clear, calm waters, making it absolutely excellent for families with young children. Those seeking a more secluded spot can visit the wilder Plage de Canusellu or embark on a highly scenic coastal hike to reach the wide-open Cala d'Agulia. These isolated coves offer fantastic conditions for snorkeling and swimming in a dramatic, rock-framed idyll. Away from the beautiful beaches, the village has a welcoming little promenade lined with excellent restaurants serving freshly caught fish and traditional Corsican specialties. The surrounding coastal landscape is partially protected, ensuring the environment remains pristine for hikers. Campomoro is best reached by car from the nearby town of Propriano via a very scenic, albeit winding, coastal road. Ample parking at the village entrance ensures the small center remains largely traffic-free and peaceful.
