Coti-Chiavari is located on the west coast of Corsica, south of the Gulf of Ajaccio, and gives a unique view of the sea. The coastline is lined with beautiful beaches: Plage de Fica (a Piaghja di l'Acquisecchi), Plage de Portigliolo, the fine white sandy Plage de Mare e Sole (a Piaghja di Chjavari), and the idyllic Plage de Verghia. These bays with crystal clear, shallow water are well-suited for relaxing, swimming, and snorkeling. The village itself is situated on the hillside, surrounded by historic buildings and eucalyptus forests, offering majestic views of the Sanguinaires Islands. Corsican cured meats and cheeses are essential parts of the meals served here. It can be reached from Ajaccio via a winding but spectacular road.
