Saint-Pol-de-Léon in the Finistère department is a magnificent historic episcopal city and simultaneously the bustling center of Breton vegetable farming. From afar, the town's skyline is dominated by two architectural masterpieces: the Saint-Paul-Aurélien Cathedral with its impressive stained glass windows, and the Notre-Dame du Kreisker chapel, whose 78-meter-high openwork spire is the tallest in all of Brittany, offering panoramic panoramic views over the coast. A walk through the cobbled streets takes you past splendid old manor houses and episcopal residences. At the same time, the region around Saint-Pol-de-Léon is famous for its highly fertile soils, yielding massive crops of artichokes and cauliflowers that prominently feature in local markets and restaurant menus. Just a short walk from the town center opens up the beautiful Bay of Morlaix with Sainte-Anne beach, where historic coastal fortresses and small fishing boats are reflected in the water. Here, deep Breton spirituality, rich agriculture, and coastal charm merge into a truly incomparable travel experience.
