Suhač lies on the edge of Sinjsko Polje, a wide fertile plain in the Split hinterland. The village has effectively merged with the town of Sinj and shares its rich cultural history, especially the famous Sinjska Alka, a knightly tournament commemorating the victory over the Ottomans in 1715. Many of the Alka riders and squires traditionally hail from villages like Suhač. The landscape is shaped by the Cetina River, which flows nearby and has opportunities for canoe safaris and fishing. The architecture in the old part of Suhač preserves the rustic style of the Dalmatian hinterland with massive stone walls. Numerous horse farms are located in the area, as horse riding has a centuries-old tradition in this region. Visitors can easily visit the Museum of the Sinjska Alka or the pilgrimage Church of Our Lady of Sinj from here. Suhač provides a quiet atmosphere outside the town center but is ideally located for exploring the natural beauty of the Dinaric Mountains. Local cuisine is known for its hearty meat dishes and the famous 'Arambaši' (local cabbage rolls).
