Rumin is located near Hrvace in the Dalmatian hinterland, tucked away within the dramatic landscape of the Cetina region. The village is famous for the spring of the eponymous Rumin river, a tributary of the Cetina. The spring bursts spectacularly from the rocks, feeding a crystal-clear watercourse surrounded by lush greenery. This area has been declared a protected natural monument due to its ecological significance. The surroundings offer excellent conditions for hikers and nature lovers. A hiking trail leads directly to the spring, providing views of the surrounding Svilaja mountain range. In Rumin, you can also find the historical Panj bridge, which spans the Cetina river and is a popular photo motif. The village's architecture is characterized by traditional Dalmatian stone houses. For active travelers, Rumin is a well-suited stop for canoeing on the Cetina or mountain biking tours through the Cetina valley. The climate here is slightly cooler than on the coast, making the area a pleasant retreat especially during summer. Local specialties like trout from the clean rivers or homemade cheese from the mountain region can be sampled in nearby konobas.
