Water temperature…
Pupnat is located in the hilly interior of Korčula island, about 12 kilometers from the capital town of the same name. As the island's oldest settlement, the village has preserved its medieval character and traditional way of life. Houses huddle closely against the slopes, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. Pupnat is particularly famous for Pupnatska Luka bay, located about 5 kilometers south, regarded as one of the most beautiful pebble beaches in the Adriatic. Its crystal-clear turquoise waters are a magnet for swimmers and snorkelers. In the village itself, tradition plays a significant role. Every year on August 5th, the feast of 'Gospa od Sniga' (Our Lady of the Snows) is celebrated with religious processions and folk festivals. Culinarically, Pupnat is a revelation: the famous 'Žrnovski makaruni' (handmade pasta) and excellent lamb dishes are served here. Many konobas exclusively use home-grown products, making Pupnat a hotspot for lovers of authentic island cuisine. For hikers, the surroundings offer numerous trails leading through dense pine forests and over rocky ridges, repeatedly revealing sweeping views of the sea and the neighboring island of Lastovo. The village architecture, with its stone archways and small squares, invites one to linger. Pupnat is the good place for visitors seeking to experience the historical depth and natural beauty of Korčula off the beaten path. The tranquility and clean mountain air provide first-rate relaxation after a day at the beach.
