Mušaluk is located in the historical region of Lika, not far from the town of Gospić. The village is known for its significant role during the liberation struggles against the Ottomans in the 17th century. A prominent figure was the priest Marko Mesić, who lived here and organized the resistance. The Church of the Holy Spirit (crkva sv. Duha) in the village is a monument from that era and bears witness to the deep religious and cultural roots of the inhabitants. The landscape around Mušaluk is characterized by the vast plains of the Lika field and the towering peaks of the Velebit massif. Nature here is rugged and untouched, providing good conditions for outdoor activities such as hiking, mountaineering, and fishing in the nearby Lika River. In the cold season, the region is often covered in snow, giving the landscape a special charm. Culinary-wise, Mušaluk is known for traditional Lika specialties. These include the famous 'Škripavac' cheese, hearty lamb, and high-quality Lika potatoes.
