Lički Osik is located just a few kilometers from Gospić, in the expansive Ličko polje plain. The town developed after World War II as a significant center for the metalworking industry. Following extensive damage during the Croatian War of Independence, the settlement was rebuilt and now serves as a residential hub in the Lika region. The surrounding area is characterized by untouched nature and proximity to the Northern Velebit National Park. History enthusiasts can visit nearby Žitnik, the birthplace of Ante Starčević, the 'Father of the Homeland'.
