Čaporice is picturesquely situated on a plateau above the Cetina River, near the town of Trilj in the Dalmatian hinterland. This place looks back on thousands of years of history, dating back to the times of the Illyrians and Romans. The Roman military camp Tilurium was located in the immediate vicinity, making Čaporice an interesting destination for history enthusiasts. The area is rich in archaeological finds that provide insight into life on the ancient border of the Roman Empire. The nature around Čaporice is impressive. The Cetina River features numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as rafting, canoeing, and fishing.
