Beinamar is a strategically important town in southwestern Chad, located in the Logone Occidental Province. As the headquarters of the Beinamar sub-prefecture, the town is situated in a region considered the agricultural heartland of Chad. The surroundings are characterized by a lush savanna landscape that is intensively farmed during the rainy season from June to September. Beinamar plays a central role in the marketing of agricultural products, particularly cotton and peanuts, which are vital for both export and local supply. The town is a melting pot of various population groups, with the Ngambay people playing a dominant cultural role. In recent years, the town has gained economic momentum through improvements in the road connection to Moundou. The social infrastructure, consisting of schools and local health centers, serves a wide rural hinterland.
