Jidhafs is a town in the northern part of Bahrain, located to the west of the capital, Manama. Once a separate municipality, it is now largely integrated into the urban agglomeration of Manama. The town has a long history dating back to pre-Islamic times. Traditionally, Jidhafs was a center for agriculture, particularly the cultivation of date palms. Today, it is a densely populated area with a mix of residential and commercial zones. The central market of Jidhafs is an important hub for the local community, offering a variety of products. The city is also home to several religious and community institutions that play an important role in the lives of its residents. Despite rapid modernization and expansion, Jidhafs has retained some of its traditional character, especially in its older neighborhoods.
