Getting there
Mele Cascades are conveniently accessible by road from Port Vila, with the journey taking just under 20 minutes. Follow the signs toward Mele Village to reach the park entrance. From there, a steadily ascending footpath leads alongside the stream up to the various terraced waterfalls and pools.
Best season
While attractive year-round, the dry season (May to October) provides the most stable conditions for wading through the watercourse. In the rainy season, the river carries significantly more water, making the cascades even more impressive, though the current is stronger. Water temperatures remain pleasantly refreshing throughout the year.

The path crosses dirt tracks, limestone steps, and frequently leads directly through the shallow riverbed. Visitors should be prepared to walk on wet and mossy surfaces that can be slippery.
