Cathedral Church of St Machar

The Cathedral Church of St Machar, located in Old Aberdeen, Scotland, is a significant historical and religious landmark. While a place of worship has existed on this exact site since the 6th century, originally founded by St Machar, the current building largely dates to the 15th and 16th centuries. Unlike typical delicate Gothic cathedrals, St Machar's boasts a striking, robust fortified appearance.
