Ksar Ghilane

Ksar Ghilane is the epitome of a desert oasis, located deep in southern Tunisia where the rocky ground gives way to the endless sand dunes of the Sahara. The heart of the oasis is a natural thermal spring, where you can bathe year-round in 30-degree warm water under the shade of palm trees. The reddish hue of the surrounding sand gives the area a magical aura at sunset. Nearby lie the ruins of an ancient Roman fort, Tisavar, which once served as a frontier outpost. Visitors can reach the fort by camel or quad bike, guaranteeing a true desert adventure. The oasis also serves as a starting point for multi-day expeditions deeper into the Grand Erg Oriental.
